The nose consists of two aspects, one is the nasal cavity and the other is the sinuses. The nasal cavity is a protruding structure located on the human face, with anterior nostrils in the forward direction and posterior nostrils in the backward direction, which are connected to the human nasopharynx. The nasal cavity is mainly composed of the nasal vestibule and the intrinsic nasal cavity, which is divided by the nasal septum into two parts, generally speaking, the function of the nasal cavity is mainly the function of ventilation and smell and other functions. The sinuses are located on both sides of the nasal cavity, one on the left and one on the right, symmetrical to each other. The largest sinus in the human body is the maxillary sinus, one on the left and one on the right, which is located in the upper part of the maxillary sinus. Each of the above sinuses can be communicated with the nasal cavity through a small opening, i.e., the superior or middle nasal tract, through which secretions from the sinuses can be drained into the nasal cavity and thus out of the nasal cavity.
