Is a low density of 4.04 considered serious?

LDL 4.04mmol/L is a borderline level, and the exact level of risk needs to be determined according to the presence or absence of risk factors.
Generally speaking, for people who do not have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and whose risk of cardiovascular disease is low, the appropriate level of LDL is less than 3.4mmol/L. When 3.4~4.1mmol/L, it is a borderline level, and when it is more than 4.1mmol/L, it is an elevated level.
However, for patients with cardiovascular disease or those at high risk of cardiovascular disease, LDL cholesterol needs to be lowered to less than 1.8mmol/l or 2.6mmol/l. Therefore, the ideal range of LDL cholesterol is determined by the patient’s own condition.
It is recommended to consult a doctor for risk assessment, to set a lipid-lowering target and to receive standardized treatment.
