1. Fever pattern:
(1) Auditory fever: Auditory fever is common in lobar pneumonia. The patient’s body temperature often stays constant above 39~40℃, and the fluctuation range of the body temperature is not more than 1℃ in 24 hours, and the change of the body temperature should be closely observed.
(2) Intermittent fever: intermittent fever is characterized by alternating periods of high fever with periods of no fever, and the body temperature may rapidly cool down from the initial peak to the normal level, which is common in malaria and acute pyelonephritis.
(3) Irregular fever: irregular fever can be seen in tuberculosis, rheumatic fever, bronchitis, etc., characterized by the absence of obvious or certain pattern of body temperature.
2. Accompanying symptoms:
(1) Conjunctival congestion: seen in epidemic hemorrhagic fever, typhus, measles, etc.
(2) Herpes simplex: acute febrile illnesses will present with symptoms of herpes simplex on the lips and mouth. Herpes simplex is also commonly seen in lobar pneumonia, epidemic cerebrospinal meningitis, and malaria internazionale.
(3) Lymph node enlargement: seen in infectious mononucleosis, lymph node tuberculosis, filariasis, leukemia and so on.
When the baby has a serious fever, he should go to the hospital in time to avoid delay.
