The carpal bones with saddle-like articular surfaces are the greater polygonal bones. There are eight carpal bones arranged in two rows, the proximal row of carpal bones are navicular, lunate, triangular, and pea bones, and the distal row of carpal bones are the greater trochanter, lesser trochanter, cephalad, and hook bone, while the greater trochanter is the carpal bone with saddle-like articular surface. The greater multicoracoid is rhomboid in shape and is located in the most lateral part of the distal row of carpal bones, between the navicular bone and the 1st metacarpal bone. It meets the navicular bone above, the base of the 1st metacarpal below, and the base of the 2nd metacarpal and the lesser multicornis medially. It is important to protect the greater trochanter as a fracture of the greater trochanter can affect the normal function of the joint. For patients after the fracture of the greater trochanter, if the misalignment is very serious, need to actively undergo surgical treatment, after surgery need to be strictly external fixation of the plaster cast, protection for about a month, and then take pictures to review.
