Home rehabilitation for stroke

Correct posture (sitting and sleeping posture) can prevent tissue constriction, reduce edema, and help recovery of mobility. The choice of sleeping position and others: 1. The mattress should not be too soft; 2. The patient should have three to four pillows to maintain the correct sleeping position; 3. The patient should be encouraged to lie on the side of the affected side more often (the mattress patient does not have shoulder pain or other discomfort); 4. The advantage of lying on the side of the stroke is that it allows the patient to pay more attention to the affected side of the limb and increases the sense of touch. (1) As a support for the head, one pillow is sufficient; (2) The back can be padded with a pillow, with the good side tilted slightly back; (3) The shoulders of the affected side should be stretched forward, with the elbows straight, and a pillow can be placed between the hands; (4) The hips of the affected side should be straight, with the knees slightly bent; (5) The legs of the good side can be placed in a comfortable position, and a small pillow can be placed between the feet.
