How upright hypotension is treated

For the treatment of patients with upright hypotension, first of all, the movement must be slow when changing the position, because upright hypotension occurs in this kind of patients most often from the lying position to the upright position, so it is necessary to be slow when changing the position, which can avoid the occurrence of upright hypotension. For female patients who are young and in poor physical condition, the first step is to strengthen the physical condition and exercise to promote the stability of the vegetative nerves, so that the blood pressure tends to stabilize. For special circumstances such as drinking less water and hot weather, especially in summer, more water and salt water may be needed. If the results are still poor on this basis, pharmacologic interventions such as the application of midodrine and ephedrine drugs may be necessary. Although these drugs can intervene, lifestyle interventions are still recommended first in the clinic, and drugs are not always needed.
