Effects of Aminophylline

The main action of aminophylline is relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, used in asthma, wheezing bronchitis and other diseases. The main effects of aminophylline: relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, increase cardiac output, dilation of input and output glomerular arteries and so on. Aminophylline is mainly used in the treatment of asthma, wheezing bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, respiratory failure, and pulmonary edema. When taking aminophylline orally, adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and poor appetite (poor appetite) may occur. Aminophylline intravenous drip effect is better than oral, but intravenous drug too fast may have arrhythmia, chest tightness, blood pressure progressive decline, irritability, increased urination, hypokalemia and other adverse reactions, need to test the aminophylline blood concentration in the medication. Aminophylline should not smoke, drink alcohol or coffee during administration to avoid affecting the efficacy of the drug or serious adverse reactions.
