Difference between Si Jun Zi Wan and Sen Ling Bai Shu Wan

Sijunzi Pill and Ginseng Ling Baijushu Pill can be distinguished from each other by their composition, efficacy and main treatment.
Composition: Four Gentlemen Pill consists of ginseng, atractylodes, poria, and roasted licorice; Ginseng Ling Bai Shu San is based on Four Gentlemen Soup and is composed of lotus seed meat, Chinese yam, Coix Seed, white lentils, sand nuts, and Chinese bellflower.
Efficacy: Both have the effect of benefiting qi and strengthening the spleen, but Sijunzi Pill is specialized in tonifying qi and strengthening the spleen, and is the basic formula for treating qi deficiency of the spleen and stomach; Ginseng Ling and Atractylodis Macrocephalae in addition to tonifying qi and strengthening the spleen, and also eliminating dampness and stopping diarrhea, which is the main formula for treating dampness of the spleen and its also tonifying and benefiting the lungs and qi, which is also suitable for symptoms of prolonged coughing in the lungs, loose stools with little food (thinning of the feces without shape), coughing and asthma, and less gas.
It should be noted that Sijunzi Pill should not be taken with indigestible food. It should not be taken by patients with fever and cold. Ginseng Ling Bai Zhu Pill should not be taken if diarrhea is accompanied by loose stools and a falling sensation in the anus, and it is not advisable to take quinquefolium, wulingzhi, saponaria, or its preparations at the same time, and it is not advisable to drink tea and eat radish so as not to affect the efficacy of the medication. It should not be taken at the same time with cold and flu medicines.
