Gallbladder polyps require routine periodic checkups

Ultrasound examination is the first choice for gallbladder polyps, which is simple, accurate and non-invasive, and is a simple and reliable diagnostic method that can clearly show the location, size, number and local changes in the gallbladder wall of gallbladder polyps. In addition, ultrasound color Doppler ultrasonography can identify benign polyps or gallbladder cancer by observing the blood flow signal in the gallbladder polyp mass. If the gallbladder polyp is large, with a diameter of more than 1 cm, ultrasonography suspects or highly suspects malignant gallbladder polyps. Further enhancement CT examination is required. Enhanced CT can distinguish tumor from non-tumor gallbladder polyps and can reliably screen for tumorigenic lesions that should be removed. In the case of smaller gallbladder polyps, less than 5 mm in diameter, they can be examined 1-2 times in 1 year. If the gallbladder polyp is larger, more than 5mm, close follow-up follow up is required. 3-6 months for examination. If the polyp increases in size in a short period of time, it needs to be treated surgically as soon as possible.
