There is no effective exercise method to improve ptosis in babies. The causes of ptosis in infants are usually related to genetic factors and acquired factors, etc. Congenital ptosis is usually treated by surgery, and acquired ptosis can be relieved by taking neostigmine and inosine, etc., and surgery will be considered in case of ineffective treatment. 1. Congenital ptosis: Congenital ptosis is usually caused by abnormal development of the levator muscle, the levator muscle is not strong enough to lift the eyelid up normally, and this condition is mainly treated by surgery. If the pupil is covered, especially in pediatric patients, in order to avoid amblyopia, surgery should be performed as early as possible, usually around the age of 3, such as frontalis muscle suspension. 2. Acquired ptosis: Myasthenia gravis, neurological or ophthalmic disorders can also cause ptosis, and patients need to undergo primary treatment and medication to control it. For example, patients with myasthenia gravis can take oral medication such as neostigmine, and ptosis caused by nerve paralysis can be treated with drugs such as inosine and vitamin B12 as prescribed by the doctor. Surgery can be considered when conservative treatment is ineffective, and pediatric patients can be treated with surgery, such as frontalis muscle suspension. It is recommended that children with ptosis should be hospitalized in a timely manner to assess their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid delaying their condition.
