Can you skip the MMR?

The MMR vaccine is an attenuated vaccine, which is a combined vaccine preparation for the prevention of three diseases, namely measles, mumps and rubella, and cannot be dispensed with. Measles, mumps and rubella are all highly contagious diseases that are harmful to the human body. MMR vaccination can make the body produce antibodies against mumps virus, measles virus and rubella virus, thus enhancing the body’s ability to resist these three diseases, providing effective protection for individuals, and reducing the rate of infection, serious illness and death. In addition, MMR vaccine belongs to the National Class I Vaccine, which is within the scope of the National Vaccination Program. Currently, national regulations state that this vaccine should be universally administered. And children are usually required to provide proof of MMR vaccination when enrolling in school. Therefore, if there are no special circumstances, it is usually not possible to skip the MMR vaccination. It is recommended that normal children should always be vaccinated according to the schedule to ensure their health.
