Pelvic lumps are considered to be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroids, ovarian cancer and other diseases, and the body will show symptoms such as lumbosacral pain and increased vaginal discharge.
1. Pelvic inflammatory disease: the disease is related to pathogen infection, poor hygiene habits and so on. When the local lesions prompt cell necrosis and shedding, there will be pelvic masses. The physical symptoms of patients with pelvic inflammatory disease include lower abdominal pain, abnormal vaginal discharge, abnormal vaginal bleeding, increased menstrual flow and prolonged menstrual period.
2. Uterine fibroids: patients with this disease can also see pelvic masses in the medical examination, the cause of which is not clear, but may be related to heredity, abnormal sex hormone levels, and so on. Usually, patients with few and small uterine fibroids may have no obvious symptoms, but some patients with large and numerous uterine fibroids may have symptoms such as increased menstrual flow, dysmenorrhea, leucorrhoea, lumbago and back pain.
3. Ovarian cancer: patients with ovarian cancer may also show pelvic mass, the cause of which is still unclear, and it is considered to be related to heredity and endocrine abnormality, etc. Most of the patients with ovarian cancer do not have early symptoms. Most of the ovarian cancer patients do not have obvious symptoms in the early stage, but with the development of the disease, they will have other symptoms such as abdominal pain, abdominal distension, ascites, emaciation and so on.
Pelvic mass is also related to ovarian cysts, ectopic pregnancy, fallopian tube cancer, etc., and the symptoms of patients will be different. It is recommended that people with pelvic masses undergo further detailed examination to clarify the disease and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
