There are currently studies suggesting that Omicron may affect sperm quality, but no studies have yet shown Omicron to cause infertility. Omicronjon is a mutated strain of a new coronavirus, and the after-effects of infection with this strain include decreased cardiac as well as respiratory function, fatigue, chest tightness, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell, and even pulmonary fibrosis and irritability. The virus may affect sperm quality, but there is no authoritative indication of this. Symptoms of infection with Omicron after vaccination are mild and the risk of serious illness is low. However, the risk of serious illness or even death after infection still exists in special populations such as immunocompromised persons and those with chronic underlying diseases, so it is recommended to be actively vaccinated and to take precautions to minimize the gathering of crowds and to wear good masks during outbreaks.
