The role of enteral nutrition suspensions

The main purpose of enteral nutrition suspension, also known by its trade name, is to provide adequate nutrition to patients who have a functional or partially functional intestinal tract, but are unwilling or unable to eat enough regular food to provide the basic nutrition needed. In this case it is recommended that the patient can take this enteric suspension to improve the nutrients that are lacking in their body. The drug is generally used in patients with severe anorexia and mechanical intestinal disorders, or in patients with extensive burns who do not want to eat, and in malnourished patients who need surgery. This enteral nutrition mixture should be applied in time before surgery to improve the organism’s ability to tolerate surgery.
