  There are various grading methods for diabetic foot, commonly used are the three-stage classification method, Wagner grading, and TEXAS University diabetic foot grading and staging method as mentioned earlier. The following experts will explain how the Wagner grading method is like: Wagner grading method: Grade 0: foot at risk of foot ulcers, no open lesions on the skin.  Grade 1: surface ulcers with no clinical infection.  Grade 2: deeper ulcerated infected lesions, often combined with soft tissue inflammation, without abscesses or infection of the bone.
