Our vascular surgery department has introduced Korean-made air pressure therapy instrument since May 2007, and treated 90 cases of patients in one year with very remarkable effect. Among them, 50 cases of varicose veins of lower extremities with by obstruction of return flow, 30 cases of recovery of venous thrombosis of lower extremities and 10 cases of lymphedema. The air pressure therapy instrument has the feature that the pressure size can be adjusted according to the demand of the disease, and the flushing speed is divided into 5 grades. Indications of air pressure therapy instrument: prevention of deep vein thrombosis; venous insufficiency, varicose veins, lymphedema, fracture, soft tissue injury, lower limb ulcer, intermittent claudication, diabetic foot and other ischemic diseases caused by arteriosclerosis.
1.Deep venous insufficiency of lower limbs, varicose veins, venous ulcers, poor venous reflux: varicose veins of lower limbs, preoperative and postoperative can be used, patients suffering from varicose veins are generally accompanied by different degrees of venous reflux restriction, when walking or standing for a long time after the lower limbs swelling and pain, over time, can lead to lower limb ulcers, skin pigmentation, can be repeatedly through the air waves of the air pressure therapy instrument The air waves of the air pressure therapy instrument can be used to repeatedly pressurize and then decompress, thus producing the same effect as muscle income contraction and diastole, promoting venous blood and lymphatic circulation, and obtaining sufficient massage effect, thus achieving the effect of eliminating swelling and laying the foundation for successful surgery. Case history 1: Korean Man, 57 years old, was admitted to our hospital on November 26, 2007 with “deep vein insufficiency of both lower limbs”, with high swelling of both limbs, difficulty in walking and numbness of lower limbs. After a week of treatment in internal medicine, the patient was transferred to our department and was given air pressure device and treated twice a day. On the first day, the patient felt comfortable, and on the third day, the edema of both feet and both lower extremities obviously subsided. After ten days of treatment, the patient could be discharged with complete disappearance of swelling of both lower extremities.
2.Prevention of deep vein thrombosis, the use of which is contraindicated in the acute phase of lower limb venous thrombosis, and can be used in the recovery phase of lower limb venous thrombosis (more than 4 weeks from the onset). As patients with venous thrombosis must be absolutely bedridden, blood flow is slow, muscles are sore and weak, massage the limbs with gentle air pressure wave, which can significantly improve skin surface temperature, promote blood circulation, relieve muscle fatigue, relieve pain, swelling, numbness and other symptoms through the repeated expansion and contraction effect of air wave. At the same time, by massaging the leg muscles, it can promote the gathering of venous blood from the legs to the heart, promote blood circulation in the body, add activities to the body, and enjoy the benefits of exercise while lying in bed. In 30 patients, the swollen limbs were significantly reduced. 25 patients walked strongly and without discomfort on the first day after getting out of bed, and 5 cases gradually recovered on the third day after getting out of bed.
3. Primary and secondary lymphedema: For swollen limbs, repeated massage by air waves of air pressure therapy instrument can unblock meridians, stimulate acupuncture points and promote blood circulation and lymphatic reflux of limbs, thus achieving the effect of eliminating swelling. History 2: A female patient was admitted to the Department of Medical Oncology of our hospital in May 2007. Six months after the surgery of left breast cancer, she developed high swelling of the left upper limb, limited movement of the left shoulder joint and dysfunction of the left upper limb, accompanied by numbness and pain and other sensory abnormalities. After one week of treatment, the swelling of the left upper limb was significantly reduced, and the left upper limb could be moved freely after half a month.
