If you have pus in your ear piercing, first remove the earring studs and other accessories to avoid local irritation. In addition, use anti-inflammatory drops, such as iodophor or alcohol, to disinfect the area. If there is an internal abscess, make sure to clean out the pus inside. If there are systemic symptoms such as fever, or if the inflammation does not resolve, surgical incision and drainage may be required so that the granulation can grow out slowly.
