What does trimetazidine hydrochloride tablets do?

Trimetazidine hydrochloride tablets are useful in the treatment of angina pectoris. The drug has the effect of counteracting adrenaline, norepinephrine and pressor, which not only reduces vascular resistance, increases coronary and circulatory blood flow, promotes myocardial metabolism and myocardial energy production; it also reduces myocardial oxygen consumption and maintains the balance between myocardial oxygen supply and demand. Therefore, clinically, this drug is used for symptomatic treatment of adult patients with stable angina that is poorly controlled or intolerable by first-line anti-angina therapy. Adverse reactions such as dizziness, headache, nausea, abdominal pain, rash and pruritus have been associated with the use of the drug. Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to trimetazidine hydrochloride or any of the excipients; in patients with Parkinson’s disease, tremor, restless legs syndrome, and other related movement disorders; and in patients with severe renal impairment. Do not drive machines, vehicles, ships, engage in aerial work, mechanical work and operation of precision instruments during the period of taking the drug; pregnant and lactating women, athletes should be cautious.
