Conversion refers to obtaining clinical remission. Patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia who do not turn negative after two years of taking the drug (imatinib) can continue to be treated with the drug or can be replaced with a second-generation targeted drug such as dasatinib for treatment.
Lentigo, also known as chronic granulocytic leukemia, is a malignant tumor. Clinically there is no complete cure for lentigo, only clinical remission. Commonly used therapeutic drug is imatinib, when patients with chronic granulocytic leukemia still have not turned negative after taking the drug for two years, they can continue to take the drug to control the progress of the disease, or they can try to replace the targeted drugs, such as dasatinib.
Dasatinib can be used to treat chronic myeloid leukemia as well as Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia, but it may cause the body to experience fluid retention, edema and other adverse reactions. Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic and renal impairment and hypersensitivity to the product.
Chronic granulocytic leukemia patients who have not been converted after two years of medication, patients can choose to continue the original drug regimen, or choose to change the targeted drugs, but either choice, should be timely medical treatment, under the guidance of the doctor.
