Do keloid injections help?

The simplest, practical and preferred treatment for keloids is injectable medications, mainly corticosteroids, which have certain side effects. The amount of injectable hormones is limited, controlled and adjustable under the monitoring of a physician, so there is no need to be overly nervous. In addition, anti-tumor proliferative drugs such as 5-fluorouracil can cause atrophy and softening of the scar with less side effects, and even some of these drugs can be used in children, including chymotrypsin and interferon. Drugs that are injected into keloids to cause the scar to disappear also exist clinically, but are less commonly used.
