The sudden appearance of nosebleeds in two-year-old babies should be taken seriously and proper treatment should be taken to prevent choking due to backflow of blood. Two-year-old babies have very poor self-control and are relatively young, so it is very easy to suffocate due to nosebleeds and endanger their lives. When nosebleeds occur, parents should lay the baby flat on the bed and tilt the head to one side so that the nosebleeds can flow out of the body smoothly and avoid sucking backwards into the trachea and causing suffocation, or pick up the baby so that the head and body are in a horizontal position and tilt the head to one side so that the nosebleeds are discharged. The otolaryngologist will examine the baby’s nasal cavity and provide symptomatic treatment. Blood tests can also be performed to rule out thrombocytopenia, blood clotting dysfunction, and other diseases such as hemophilia. Once identified, they should be treated aggressively.
