It takes about one year to remove the plate of comminuted fracture of the heel bone. One year after the operation, we need to review the lateral and axial radiographs of the heel bone, through the lateral and axial radiographs, we find that the fracture line is blurred or disappeared, and there is no obvious swelling and pressure pain in the local area of the heel bone, then it is certain that the fracture has healed, and we can remove the plate by the operation. After removing the plate, it is recommended to rest in bed for a period of time, when resting in bed, the injured side of the limb must be elevated to reduce swelling, which is conducive to the healing of the wound after the surgical removal of the plate, because the skin in the area of the Achilles bone is relatively thin, and there is little subcutaneous soft tissue, so the wound is more difficult to heal after the removal of the heel bone, and it should be prevented from the infection and necrosis of the local skin of the heel bone.
