The efficacy of the Chinese herbal medicine Bai Mao Cao Root, i.e., the herb Bai Mao Cao Root, is to clear away heat, diuretic and cool the blood to stop bleeding, and it has the effect of treating blood heat and paranoia (the heat evil causes the blood to go out abnormally), and feverish drenching (the burning and stinging pain is obvious when urinating, accompanied by frequent urination and urgency, and the discomfort of pulling on the small abdomen), and so on.
Bai Mao Root is the dried rhizome of the grass plant Bai Mao, which is usually harvested in spring and fall, washed and dried in the sun, and then bundled into small handfuls after removing the membranous leaf sheaths and fibrous roots to obtain this product. Cold in nature and sweet in taste, leucaena leucocephala root is attributed to bladder, stomach and lung meridians, and its effects are cooling the blood to stop bleeding and clearing heat and diuresis.
Because of its cooling effect, it can be used to treat hematemesis, hemoptysis, epistaxis and uraemia caused by blood-heat, often used alone or together with other medicines to stop bleeding.
Because of its heat-clearing and diuretic effects, it can be used to treat dysuria, damp-heat jaundice, edema, and feverish drenching, etc. It can be combined with water-inducing and dampness-permeating medicines to dispel dampness.
Because of its cold nature and sweet taste, it can clear the heat in the lungs and stomach, so it is also often used to treat lung-heat cough, stomach-heat vomiting, and fever and thirst.
The adverse effects and contraindications of this product are not clear, it is recommended that patients who are not feeling well go to a regular hospital in a timely manner, and follow the doctor’s instructions for symptomatic treatment.
