Is it okay to open the pulp and fill it without a root canal?

It is not acceptable to fill a tooth directly after opening the pulp without doing a root canal. Failure to do a root canal when the pulp is already infected will aggravate the original pain and may also cause periapical inflammation as follows.
After the pulp cavity is opened and depressurized, if the pulp is filled directly without root canal treatment, the infected pulp will cause the pressure in the pulp cavity to increase again, resulting in severe pain and the spread of inflammation.
In addition, if the infection of the pulp is not controlled, the inflammatory secretion will spread to the periapical tissues through the apical foramen, causing inflammation of the periapical tissues, which is clinically manifested as swelling and pain in the surrounding tissues.
If the toothache is severe and cannot be relieved, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for standardized treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
