How to measure fetal weight

Fetal weight during pregnancy is generally measured in two ways, one is calculated according to the biparietal diameter, the other is calculated according to the uterine height and abdominal circumference of the pregnant woman. 1. Calculated according to the fetal biparietal diameter, it is based on maternal ultrasound fetal biparietal diameter data multiplied by 900-5200. the calculated value is the approximate weight of the fetus, the unit of calculation of the value is kilograms. 2. Calculate the weight according to the uterine height and abdominal circumference, which is the measurement of the uterine height and abdominal circumference of the pregnant woman at the end of pregnancy. Using the height of the uterus multiplied by the abdominal circumference plus 200, you can calculate the approximate weight of the fetus. However, if the pregnant woman’s weight is on the heavier side, then the weight should be calculated by multiplying the height of the uterus by the circumference of the abdomen and subtracting 200 from the height of the uterus. The value is calculated in kilograms. The measurement of fetal weight is for reference only and the exact weight should be determined after birth. Regular checkups, if there is any abnormality in the pregnancy test, consult a doctor in time and intervene under the guidance of a professional doctor.
