In clinical practice, the main examination for pneumonia is the physical examination, and auscultation is relatively important. The site of auscultation is generally from left to right, from front to back, and from top to bottom. The main specific location is the anterior chest, along the midclavicular line, anterior axillary line, mid-axillary line, from top to bottom, and in the intercostal space. The lungs are auscultated at the tip of the lung in the supraclavicular fossa, and in the back along the posterior axillary line, the interscapular area, and from top to bottom. The left side is usually auscultated first, then the right side, the anterior chest, the posterior lateral chest, and finally the back. During auscultation, the frequency, rhythm and murmur of breathing and the symmetry of left and right should be noted.
