Nifedipine controlled-release tablets can not replace valsartan amlodipine tablets. Nifedipine controlled-release tablets belong to the 1,4 dihydropyridine calcium antagonist, a single preparation; valsartan amlodipine tablets belong to the compound preparation, including valsartan and amlodipine two antihypertensive drugs, generally used for a single drug can not control hypertension patients, so it can not be replaced. Clinically, nifedipine controlled-release tablets are used for the treatment of hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic stable angina; while valsartan amlodipine tablets are clinically used for the treatment of primary hypertension, for patients whose blood pressure cannot be adequately controlled by single-drug treatment. There are adverse reactions such as headache, edema and constipation after taking nifedipine controlled-release tablets; and there are adverse reactions such as vertigo, edema, nasopharyngitis and upper respiratory tract infection after using valsartan amlodipine tablets. Nifedipine controlled-release tablets are contraindicated in patients with cardiogenic shock, within 20 weeks of pregnancy and in lactating women; valsartan amlodipine tablets are contraindicated in patients with hereditary angioedema, in patients who have developed angioedema, in pregnant women and in lactating women. Specific medication, patients should be used under the guidance of a specialist physician, not self-medication to avoid adverse reactions.
