Effects of ipratropium bromide

ipratropium bromide is used in patients with cardiac and circulatory diseases, for airway obstructive diseases with chronic bronchitis, such as chronic obstructive bronchitis, and for the treatment of bronchial asthma, for the prevention of allergic asthma, or in patients who cannot tolerate beta2 agonists. Precautions: 1. Contraindicated in patients with glaucoma and pyloric obstruction; 2. A few patients have tracheal itching with cough, nausea, dizziness, palpitation and dry mouth; 3. ipratropium bromide cannot be used alone in the treatment of acute severe asthma, and is appropriate as an adjunct to selective beta2 agonists.
