How to treat deficiency evidence in Chinese medicine

The principle of Chinese medicine for treating deficiency is tonicity, which can be regulated by different medicines according to different qi, blood, yin and yang as well as the location of the disease.
1. Blood deficiency: manifested by pale color of claws and nails, dizziness, pale tongue and white moss. If it is a deficiency of liver blood, use Jiawei Siwu Tang; if it is a deficiency of heart blood, use Nourishing Heart Tang.
2. Qi deficiency: manifested as fatigue (mental exhaustion, physical weakness), lazy speech, pale red tongue, thin white moss and other symptoms. For spleen qi deficiency, use Jia Wei Si Jun Zi Tang, etc.; for kidney qi deficiency, use Jin Gui Ren Qi Wan, etc.; for heart qi deficiency, use Roasted Licorice Tang, etc.; for lung qi deficiency, use Jade Screen Fung San, etc.
3. Yin deficiency: manifested as five heart-heat (heat in the hearts of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), hot flashes and night sweating (sweating abnormally after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up), red tongue, and fine pulse (the pulse becomes narrower and finer, and the rate is accelerated), etc. If there is Yin deficiency of the heart, use Tian Tian (Heavenly) Pills. For heart yin deficiency, use Tianwang Xinxin Tonic Dan; for kidney yin deficiency, use Zuo Gui Wan; for spleen yin deficiency, use Yi Stomach Tang; for lung yin deficiency, use Sha Shen Maidong Tang.
4. Yang deficiency: manifested as cold form (cold body), cold limbs, pale and fat tongue, white slippery moss and other symptoms. For kidney yang deficiency, use Right Angelica Pill, etc.; for heart yang deficiency, use Ginseng and Heart Pill, etc.; for spleen yang deficiency, use Xiao Jian Zhong Tang, etc.
