Moxibustion does not have a curative effect on patients with physical yang deficiency, but can only play a certain role in assisting treatment. Yang deficiency means that the patient’s yang qi is weak and unable to warm the internal organs, which may result in symptoms such as lack of warmth in the limbs (cold extremities of the human body), shortness of breath, loss of appetite, and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by the slightest movement of the sweat). Moxibustion is a traditional method of treatment, referring to the use of moxa cones or moxa sticks, the patient’s skin smoked and ironed to stimulate, can play a warm meridian dispersal of cold (warming the human body meridian, get rid of the body’s cold), replenish yang and benefit the efficacy of qi (replenish the human body’s yang qi). For patients with Yang deficiency, moxibustion can help relieve symptoms, but moxibustion is not a cure for Yang deficiency and is usually used only as an adjunctive technique. To cure Yang deficiency, it should be treated with relevant medications, such as Jin Gui Ren Qi Pills. These medications should be used with caution in patients with yin deficiency and internal heat (deficiency of yin fluid leading to internalized heat). If you need to use medication for related symptoms, you should go through a doctor’s guidance and never use medication on your own. Moxibustion operation should also be carried out under the guidance of a professional doctor to avoid related adverse reactions.
