Is a nasal endoscope the same as a nasopharyngoscope?

Nasal endoscopes and nasopharyngoscopes are similar concepts. The nasal endoscope refers more to a rigid nasal endoscope, usually used when performing nasal endoscopy or changing medications after surgery, which has a rigid metal outer wall that is more conducive to use during surgical operations. Nasopharyngoscopes, on the other hand, refer to endoscopes of a hose nature and are usually used in routine examinations of the nasal cavity, sinuses, and nasopharyngeal region and are generally not used in surgery. In a broader concept, nasal endoscopes can be used for both examination and surgery. The advantage of nasopharyngoscopy is that the texture is softer and the tube diameter can be made thinner, which can reduce the discomfort of the patient during the examination.
