What causes 6 year olds to blink their eyes so often?

Frequent blinking in 6-year-old children may be caused by inflammatory stimuli, congenital entropion and inverted eyelashes, eye fatigue, habitual blinking and other reasons.
1. Inflammatory stimulation: when the eyes are infected with bacterial viruses or chlamydia, and inflammatory reactions occur, such as keratitis, conjunctivitis and other diseases, frequent blinking will occur, accompanied by increased secretions, redness and itchiness, and watering of the eyes and other symptoms.
2. Congenital entropion and inverted eyelashes: Congenital entropion and inverted eyelashes cause irritation to the eyeballs, which may be accompanied by blinking, tearing, photophobia, tingling, blepharospasm, red eyes and other conditions.
3. Eye fatigue: long time watching TV or unreasonable sitting position leads to eye fatigue, dry eyes and frequent blinking symptoms.
4. Habitual blinking: Children have the habit of imitating other people’s blinking in their daily life, which is not easy to be corrected and becomes habitual blinking after a long time.
If your child has frequent blinking, you should take him/her to the hospital in time for examination and treatment. Depending on the severity of your child’s blinking, you can take medication or psychological and behavioral interventions as soon as possible.
