The diagnosis points of diabetic ketosis are as follows: 1) blood glucose level is relatively high, usually blood glucose should be more than 13.8mmol/L or even reach more than 20mmol/L; 2) urinalysis indicates positive urine ketone; 3) blood ketone body is positive, but carbon dioxide binding is normal. If the carbon dioxide binding force is low it is diagnosed as diabetic ketoacidosis, and not simply diabetic ketosis. Diabetic ketosis is a little lighter than diabetic ketoacidosis. Clinically, patients are usually given insulin to lower blood sugar and appropriate rehydration can correct diabetic ketosis in a relatively short period of time.
