Patients with ectopic pregnancy do not have a period, but they can have irregular vaginal bleeding, mainly because in ectopic pregnancy, the activity of the gestational sac is very low, so the endometrium loses support from high hormonal levels and a small amount of exfoliative bleeding occurs. The vaginal bleeding in ectopic pregnancy is characterized by a very small amount of bleeding, accompanied by discomfort in the lower abdomen. If the pregnancy is in the fallopian tube, the patient may also experience pain in the affected adnexal area. In the case of cervical or horn pregnancy, there may be pain in the middle of the abdomen, etc. The analysis can be done by checking the blood chorionic gonadotropin, progesterone and the dynamic changes of the ultrasound. If an ectopic pregnancy is confirmed, it must be treated in time to avoid rupture and hemorrhage, which may endanger the patient’s life.
