Can painful swollen lymph nodes in the groin be cancer?

When there is painful swelling of inguinal lymph nodes, there are reasons such as lower limb lymphangitis, tumor metastasis, genitourinary system infection, lymphoma and so on, which may be cancer.
1. Lymphoma: when lymphoma progresses rapidly, it can fuse with each other to form a mass, with poor mobility, and connects closely with the surrounding tissues, the enlarged lymph nodes can oppress the neighboring organs and cause corresponding symptoms, which will lead to inguinal lymph node enlargement and pain.
