Diagnostic criteria for osteoarthritis of the knee

1 Recurrent knee pain within the last 1 month Jiang Yinghai, Department of Pain, Henan Provincial People’s Hospital
2 X-ray (standing or weight-bearing) shows narrowing of the joint space, subchondral bone sclerosis and/or cystic changes, and
                                    Bone superfluous formation at the joint edge
3 Joint fluid (at least 2 times) is clear and viscous, WBC <2000/ml
4 Middle-aged and elderly patients (greater than or equal to 40 years old)
5 Morning stiffness less than or equal to 30 minutes
6 Friction sounds (sensation) during activity
Note: Comprehensive clinical, laboratory and X-ray examinations, meeting 1+2 or 1+3+5+6 or 1+4+5+6, can diagnose osteoarthritis of the knee joint
