Syphilis and glans belong to two different diseases. They are different in terms of causes, symptoms, examination methods, treatment programs and so on. 1. Etiology: Syphilis is a chronic systemic infectious disease caused by infection with the bacterium Helicobacter syphilis. Glans is caused by bacterial or fungal infection, mainly including bacterial glans and candida glans. 2. Symptoms: patients with glans often show localized itching, erythema and other symptoms. Stage I syphilis patients usually show ulcers on the external genitalia or perianal area, a small amount of secretion, usually not accompanied by pain, itching and other symptoms. 3. Examination methods: the clinical examination of syphilis is mainly carried out on the blood test of syphilis spirochete antibody, and the result is positive to diagnose. Patients with glans are mainly examined by secretion smear and bacterial culture. 4. Treatment program: patients with syphilis preferred penicillin antibiotics for treatment. Patients with glans are mainly treated for the pathogens of infection, such as patients with Candida albicans infection can use antifungal drugs such as itraconazole and fluconazole. Patients with anaerobic infections can use drugs such as metronidazole.
