The difference between a brain tumor and a brain infection

The difference between a brain tumor and a brain infection is the nature of the disease.
Brain tumor is a neoplastic disease, which can be primary intracranial tumor or metastatic tumor. Brain tumor can be benign or malignant. Common benign tumors include meningioma and pituitary tumor. Malignant tumors are commonly found in glioma and brain metastases. Patients may present with symptoms such as increased intracranial pressure, epilepsy, and neurological abnormalities.
Intracranial infection is an inflammatory neurological lesion caused by specific pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. It mainly includes viral infection, bacterial infection, fungal infection and so on. Patients may have high fever, fatigue, headache and meningeal irritation signs.
It is recommended that patients consult the neurology department or neurosurgery department of regular hospitals in a timely manner, improve relevant auxiliary examinations to clarify the cause of the disease and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
