What are the symptoms of psychogenic hair loss

Psychogenic alopecia usually appears after the patient is stressed, and manifests as round or oval patches of hair loss on the scalp with relatively clear borders around the patches, and if the hair around the patches is pulled by hand, some hair can be pulled. However, the patient often has no conscious symptoms, no itching or pain, and is often found by looking in the mirror or by others, also known as ghost shaving. There are also some more severe patients who experience hair loss of the entire scalp, called total baldness. Some patients also experience hair loss in areas such as eyebrows, eyelashes, and beard, which is called general baldness. Because the patches of hair loss that appear in psychogenic alopecia can affect the patient’s appearance and cause more mental stress to the patient, some patients experience a vicious cycle that leads to a bad condition in general.
