Sinusitis amoxicillin for a few days

Amoxicillin is not recommended for sinusitis. In clinical practice, sinusitis is classified as acute or chronic based on whether the history is more than 12 weeks. Secretion cultures and drug sensitivity tests in acute sinusitis reveal that the causative organisms are mostly S. pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Catamorax, etc. For more than two generations of cephalosporins and amoxicillin clavulanic acid potassium sensitivity, usually oral for 10-14 days, commonly used are cefuroxime, cefixime, etc. It is clearly proposed that the antibacterial spectrum of amoxicillin and cefadroxil is not suitable for acute sinusitis. For chronic sinusitis with a history of more than 12 weeks, long-term small-dose macrolide antibiotics orally for at least 3 months are recommended, commonly used are roxithromycin and clarithromycin, mainly using immunomodulatory functions, and amoxicillin is not recommended.
