The most common cause is local infection, mostly bacterial; the second most common cause is blocked pores; and another common cause is commonly known as fire.
If a local bacterial infection causes the nose to become red and painful, a boil may form, so it is best not to pick it with your hands. Since the nose is in the so-called “danger triangle”, localized boils should not be drained by incision to avoid more serious complications. Therefore, when a boil on the nose breaks down, it should be cleaned, disinfected, and changed in a timely manner to promote healing of the boil and prevent complications. If the redness and pain of the nose is caused by blocked pores, it is important to keep the nose clean, avoid spicy and greasy foods, eat more vegetables and fruits, drink more water, and keep the bowels open. If the redness and pain of the nose is caused by fire, first of all, keep your face clean, do not touch the red and painful part of the nose with your hands, you can eat something to reduce fire, such as herbal tea, honeysuckle, etc., or take some anti-fire medicine, usually about a week the redness and pain of the nose will be significantly reduced.
There are many diseases that cause redness and pain in the nose, so for patients who cannot be cured by the above methods, it is best to go to the hospital and ask the doctor to check the cause and then treat the problem.
