Ginger is known to have cough suppressant properties, but there is no such thing as taking ginger is the fastest way to stop a cough.
Ginger is the fresh rhizome of ginger, family Zingiberaceae. It is pungent in flavor and slightly warm in nature. It belongs to the lung, spleen and stomach meridians.
