Tuberculosis can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine calls tuberculosis “consumption”, which is divided into four certificates. 1. Lung yin deficiency: patients have dry cough, blood in sputum, vague pain in chest, afternoon fever in hands and feet, dry skin, dry mouth and tongue, etc. The main purpose is to nourish yin and moisten the lungs, and the prescription is Yuehua Pill. 2. Yin deficiency and exuberant fire syndrome: clinical manifestations include shortness of breath, sputum with little and sticky sputum, hemoptysis from time to time, accompanied by tidal fever of bone vapor (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat comes from inside the bone to the outside), five heart-quenching heat (heat in the heart of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest heat), zygomatic redness, night sweating (sweating abnormally after falling asleep, but sweating stops when waking up), and thirst, etc. The formula is Hundred-Livered Solid Gold Pill combined with Gentiana Tetragonal Radix Pelargonium to nourish the yin and reduce the fire. 3. Deficiency of qi and yin: cough with weakness, shortness of breath and low voice, cough with sputum that is thin and white in color, accompanied by fear of wind, little energy and fatigue (lack of spirit), and loose stools (sparse and shapeless stools), etc. The treatment is to nourish the qi and nourish the yin, and the formula is Baochen Tang. 4. Yin and Yang deficiency: patients with coughing and wheezing, white sputum with blood, dark color of blood, hot flashes, cold limbs, etc. The treatment is to nourish yin and replenish yang with Tiantian Dazhuangwan. Tuberculosis requires early, complete and standardized treatment. If this disease is suspected, early diagnosis and treatment is recommended.
