Increased texture of both lungs may be caused by physiological reasons, and may be caused by pathologic reasons, such as chronic bronchitis and precocious heart disease. 1. Physiological causes: mainly seen in the elderly and obese people. Due to the relative abundance of interstitium in the lungs of the elderly, thus showing an increase in lung texture on the chest X-ray; the latter is due to the subject’s obesity, increased subcutaneous fat, resulting in increased X-ray absorption, appearing on the chest radiographs of the illusion of increased lung texture. There are no obvious signs and symptoms, most of which are normal and generally do not require intervention. Regular review is sufficient. 2. Pathologic causes: (1) Chronic bronchitis: imaging examination shows uneven thickness of lung texture, which is often interspersed with deformed texture and small honeycomb shadow, which is more disorganized, or accompanied by bronchial double-track sign. It is often accompanied by emphysema. (2) Pre-existing heart disease: the lung texture is thick and large, and the vascularization from the lung gate to the lungs is maintained, which is often accompanied by the manifestation of an enlarged heart. Double lung texture increase disorder can also be seen in bronchial dilatation and other diseases, it is recommended to go to the hospital to clarify the cause of the disease, under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
