Diosmin tablets are mainly used for the treatment of venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, as well as acute attacks of hemorrhoids. The main metabolic pathway is excreted mostly through feces, while a small portion is excreted through urine, and its main side effects, commonly, are gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea and indigestion. However, in the drug’s instructions, as well as in the cases observed clinically, there are no side effects on the liver. If abnormalities in liver function occur during the use of the drug, the cause of liver function damage needs to be further investigated, whether there are other drugs or hepatitis, as the drug is also not seen to cause other side effects when interacting with other drugs, so the drug itself has almost no side effects on the liver.
