Bursitis of the elbow can be treated using general treatment, medication and surgery.
1. General treatment: the joint can be immobilized under the instruction of the doctor. Functional exercises can be performed for joint dysfunction or muscle atrophy caused by synovitis.
2. Medications: The following medications are recommended to be used under doctor’s supervision. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can control inflammation and relieve painful symptoms. Common drugs include celecoxib and etoricoxib.
