Can contact lenses and frames be stacked to improve corrected vision?

Corrected vision cannot be improved by stacking contact lenses with frames. Patients with refractive errors can be corrected by either wearing frames or wearing contact lenses. Patients should be corrected with the correct prescription either way, and the two are generally not stacked. Stacking frames on top of contact lenses not only increases the complexity of the correction program, but also affects the effectiveness of the correction. The correct method is to correct through a single correction, but be sure to adjust the prescription accurately in order to achieve the best possible correction.
