Lower limb rehabilitation training for hemiplegic patients mainly includes passive training during bed rest period and active training after leaving bed.
1. Passive training during the bed rest period: family members can regularly arrange the patient’s lower limbs under the guidance of professional rehabilitation therapists every day, such as hitch training, turning over training, sitting up training, etc. After a period of time, family members can help the patient to do toe flexion, knee joint and ankle shaking. After a period of time, the family can help the patient to do flexion of the toes, knee joints, shaking the ankle movement.
2. Leaving bed: The intensity of training can be gradually increased according to the patient’s tolerance level, such as sitting balance training, standing balance training, getting up from bed training, walking ability training, and the use of rehabilitation equipment to train the patient’s motor ability, muscle strength and endurance, once every 60 minutes, twice a day.
It is recommended that hemiplegic patients under the guidance of professional rehabilitators carry out rehabilitation training as early as possible to avoid muscle atrophy and joint stiffness.
