The prognosis of ovarian cancer is related to the pathologic type, differentiation degree of tumor and clinical stage, among which epithelial cancer of ovary has the worst prognosis. Pathological types of ovarian cancer include epithelial cell carcinoma, germ cell carcinoma, mesenchymal stromal cell carcinoma and metastatic tumor, among which epithelial cell carcinoma of ovary has the poorest prognosis due to the fact that it is often found in advanced stage and prone to recurrence. For ovarian epithelial cancer, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and targeted therapy can be chosen according to clinical stage and specific conditions of patients to improve their quality of life and prolong their survival time. Due to the high recurrence rate of epithelial cancer, it is suggested that patients should actively cooperate with doctors for treatment and have regular checkups.
