What does low pressure mean?

Low blood pressure is also known as low diastolic blood pressure. Low diastolic blood pressure refers to diastolic blood pressure less than 60 mmHg. When patients have low diastolic blood pressure, they may experience dizziness, headache, panic, palpitations, chest tightness, chest pain and other uncomfortable conditions. Patients are advised to avoid oral medications or foods that affect blood pressure as much as possible, and if they are currently taking oral antihypertensive medications, they should reduce the oral dose of antihypertensive medications so that the diastolic blood pressure does not drop too low and benefit less or do more harm, and it is best to control the patient’s diastolic blood pressure above 65 mmHg and below 80 mmHg, which is relatively the most beneficial for the patient.
